Pastor Aaron Nix
Pastor Aaron Nix is the Founding Pastor of Eternal Life Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Aaron Nix is no stranger to success, whether it be street success or in the world of entrepreneurship. His life journey was all a part of the process of the call of God on his life.
Being from a small town in Chilton County, by way of Jemison, AL (Campbell Settlement, as they call it), comes a young man that is being groomed for greatness. Growing up in a home with both parents and two siblings, Aaron knew that he was destined for greatness. Aaron’s father was called into ministry and became a Pastor, therefore, setting the tone for this young man’s life. As a result of this foundation, Aaron was called into ministry at a very young age and always knew that his life had meaning. Because church was not the most favorable environment and was not displayed as a place of interest to Aaron, he became attracted to the world and all that it had to offer. Like any other young man, Aaron became fascinated with fame, money, women, fast cars and the party life. Unbeknownst to him, that attraction to the streets was only the gateway to a life of crime. Aaron was a man that loved to make things happen. He thrived from earning fast money by selling drugs and guns, and felt that living his life as a gangster was normal. This lifestyle became his norm, however, it ended with a life sentence in the Federal Prison. Because of God’s grace and mercy, Aaron’s sentence was reduced from life to 30 years. God saw Aaron’s heart, and granted him another reduced sentence to 15 years. While in Federal prison, Aaron did not waste his time and decided to draw a line in the middle of the sand. Aaron chose God and allowed Him to order his steps. Aaron became a man and matured in Christ. Aaron began to spend time with God and meditated daily in God’s Word. Aaron was determined to spread the good news to others during his incarceration, by fellowshipping and praying with other brothers that were in prison. As he became knowledgeable in the Word of God, he acquired a greater understanding of his assignment. Aaron accepted the call of God on his life and discovered that he had a genuine love for the Word of God and people. Aaron knew that he was a born leader, and God would use him in a mighty way. As Aaron began to change and grow, many became attracted to the anointing of God that rests upon his life. Aaron started mentoring younger brothers and teaching bible studies. Fast forward: Aaron has been home five years and has worked for the Church of the Highlands, with the Correctional Ministry Team. Aaron has also accomplished academic goals, which include graduating from Highlands College and returning back to Stillman College as a Psychology major. This is exciting because he withdrew from Stillman in 1993, but is expected to graduate in the Summer of 2023. Aaron has achieved a lot since his release from prison and is in expectancy of greater works through God. Aaron and his wife,Tangi, launched Eternal Life Church in April of 2022. Eternal Life Church is the beginning of a new pathway, established by God for Aaron and Tangi. Aaron has a passion and vision that will edify God’s Kingdom on Earth. Aaron’s desire is to create an atmosphere that is conducive to spiritual growth and maturity in God, so that God’s people will know how to live and experience the abundant life.
